Born and raised in southwest Louisiana, Ross has traveled the southern United States chasing his baseball career as both player and coach. After high school, Ross played four years of college baseball and finished his catching career at McNeese State University, in his hometown of Lake Charles LA. Graduating from McNeese State University with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance, Ross entered the coaching profession at age 23.

His first head coach job at St. Louis Catholic is where Ross proved his ability to lead. He took an inconsistent program from the ground level, and transformed them into an expected contender of the playoffs. Coach Blankenship finished his career at Saint Louis in fashion with a semi final appearance in 2010, followed by a state championship in 2011. That year, Coach Blankenship was named the 4A Coach of the Year, as well as the Southwest La. “Big Schools” Coach of the Year . The next season, Ross headed to North Louisiana where he led the “perennial powerhouse” – the West Monroe Rebels – to the state tournament. In 2012 he was selected to coach the Louisiana All Star team East. After two years of rebuilding the baseball program in West Monroe, Coach Blankenship forged his team a slot into the semi finals at the state tournament. In 2014, Ross accepted a position back home in Lake Charles La. to become the Head Coach of his Alma-Mata – Sam Houston High School. After a 2-year stint at Sam Houston High, Ross moved across the river to coach 1 season at Sulphur High School.

In 2017, Ross resigned from coaching to take on a full time role with 2D Sports. Ross began hosting tournaments in 2008. What began as a single tournament in Lake Charles, has grown into the most dynamic baseball logistics company in the South. Ross is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at 2D Sports.

A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Brandon came to Shreveport, Louisiana in 2004 to join the LSU-Shreveport Pilots Baseball Program. After three years with the Pilots, highlighted by a Conference Championship — two Conference Tournament Championships — and three Regional Tournament appearances, Brandon graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Business Administration.

In 2008, Brandon joined the Prairie Baseball Academy (Junior College) as an Assistant Coach before returning to the LSUS-Baseball Program in 2010 as the Graduate Assistant Coach. Magierowski’s coaching position with the Pilots, which was highlighted by two Conference Tournament Championship and a third place finish in the NAIA World Series, ended in 2011 after Brandon graduated with his Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Upon graduation in the Spring of 2013, Brandon took on a role with the Southern Baseball Association (SBA) focusing on developing a summer travel baseball program in Shreveport/Bossier City.

After two seasons of coaching and organizing summer travel baseball teams, Brandon turned his attention to hosting tournaments in the Deep South Region to provide players a better opportunity for exposure to next level recruiters. In 2014, Brandon aided in the creation 2D Sports and is the acting CMO.

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jesse Cassard began his coaching career in 2002 at Barbe High School where he served as an assistant coach for 4 seasons which included a 5A State Championship. In 2006, Cassard took the head coaching position at Zachary High School where he lead the program to three (3) consecutive State Championships and was named LBCA Coach of the Year in 2007, 2008, and 2009 — along with being named the 2009 Region 6 National Coach of the Year (ABCA). In addition to his coach accolades, Cassard served as the Athletic Director at Zachary High from 2014-2016.

In 2016, Coach Cassard made the move to Sulphur, LA to serve as the head coach of the Sulphur Tors Baseball Program. Along with his exceptional coaching career, Jesse served as an Associate Scout for both the Seattle Mariners and Milwaukee Brewers from 2010 to 2014. Jesse has overseen the eligibility of over 700 athletes, managed coaching staffs, facilities, and also assisted in the operations for the Team USA 18u Program.

With his 15 years of head coaching and managerial experience, Jesse was a major contributor in the launch of the 2D Sports Youth Tournament model in Spring 2017. He now serves as the Chief Operations Officer.

A native of Jennings Louisiana, Michael Trahan was a four sport letter winner in high school and led his Bulldog football team to the AAA State Championship in 1992. After excelling on the baseball diamond in Junior College and on the Division I level, he managed to play in excess of four seasons on the professional level. Following his professional career, Mike began a Division I coaching career that spanned over a decade and three of Louisiana’s proudest baseball communities.

Once he cut his college baseball teeth in the second assistant position, he commanded the recruiting coordinator post at McNeese State for two years, University of Louisiana Monroe for two, and finally at Louisiana Lafayette for three plus seasons. Having many nationally recognized recruits, several All-Americans, and one Team USA participant are just of few of the highlights of his coaching career….not to mention conference championships and regional appearances at all of his coaching stops.

As a standout player, then coach/ recruiter, Mike has seen his share of high school, American Legion, and showcase baseball. He has played, coached, or scouted in roughly two-thirds of the 50 states and it’s fair to say that he knows what it takes to put together and manage a top quality event. He brings his knowledge of recruiting, his extensive collegiate contact network, and event direction in terms of what college coaches really want to see, what they expect to see, and what keeps them returning to events year after year.
